Our Charity Shops and Furniture Warehouse

The Bridge Trust is a UK registered charity that provides services for homeless people in the local community. We also rely on the support of the local community to help us raise enough funds to continue this work.

To help with this we run two charity shops - one in Tonbridge and one in Tunbridge Wells, and a second-hand furniture warehouse in Tonbridge. We are very proud of these as they provide a useful service to local shoppers and also help raise some money for our work. In addition, the furniture warehouse also serves our own residents when they come to set up their own home, by providing them with some essential furniture and appliances.

Please support us by donating good quality items for us to sell and by visiting one of our outlets - you won't be disappointed.

Both our shops have a salaried, part-time manager, but all other staff are faithful volunteers. Similarly our warehouse has one paid manager, a van-driver and volunteers. We are proud to say that all our workers are brilliant and you will receive a warm welcome and an excellent, friendly service. We have trained, volunteer electrical "PAT" testers so can accept electrical items that are in good working order.

Tonbridge Charity Shop

The Tonbridge shop is situated underneath the Bridge Trust Office, in Quarry Hill Road, just a few doors along from Lidl supermarket. Amanda sells all sorts of selected used items - all good quality and at great prices, including clothes, small items of furniture and electrical good (all tested by our qualified "PAT" testers). We also do our bit for the environment by recycling unsaleable clothes, shoes, electricals and books.

Tunbridge Wells Charity Shop

The Tunbridge Wells shop is in the centre of the town, in Camden Road. Its not as large as the shop in Tonbridge, but is an excellent place to visit for the usual and sometimes unusual and high quality items. We can't sell clothes in this shop but are willing to consider almost anything else. The shop has built up a loyal clientele over the years and you are assured the friendliest of welcomes from Julie and her team.

Tonbridge Furniture Warehouse - the largest in Kent

Urgently Required - All white goods such as fridges, freezers, washing machines, electric and gas cookers. Don't pay to have your old ones taken away, ring us and we will collect them for free.

Our second-hand furniture warehouse simply MUST be visited before you can appreciate what an aladin's cave of hidden treasure you could find. From "white goods" to chairs and tables, sofas and beds. Stereos and TVs, and the age of items varies from antique to modern. The warehouse is tucked-away a little bit, in Cannon Lane. Its on the opposite side of the road to B&Q and Halfords - follow the signs to the left of the units there and you can't go wrong. Byron, John and the team know their stuff so they don't stock anything that is not good quality and working, and all electrical appliances are "PAT" tested by our qualified volunteer. If you have items that you wish to donate, we are able to collect them from you if you are not too far away, and similarly we might be able to deliver things you buy - for a small donation towards the cost. So just pop in when you are passing. Pick up a bargain and help homeless people at the same time!
