Donations

In common with all charities, we rely heavily on financial donations from all who believe in our work. If you feel that you can support us, either by a one off donation or regular payments this can be done in the following ways.

Gifts by non-tax payers can be made by cheques made payable to: "The Bridge Trust" which should be sent to our office in Tonbridge - our address is in the panel on the left. Or if you wish, you can make a regular donation by a Standing Order Mandate. Contact the office for a form.

Gifts by tax payers can be significantly increased - currently 28p in the £ by the use of Gift Aid. Click here to view details of the scheme and print a Gift Aid Declaration form. This form and your gift should be sent to our office in Tonbridge - our address is on our Contact Us page.

Buy at The Bridge Trust Web Shop

If you enjoy shopping then do visit our web shop as we receive commission on all items purchased in this way.  The purchaser’s contract is with the retailer and accessing them through our web shop in no way affects the price paid or the rights of the consumer.  The commission is donated directly by the retailers from their own marketing budgets and can range from 5% upwards with extra sums being given on some of their special offers.  There are over ninety major retailers involved, including Amazon, Play.com, Index, Sky, Tesco, HMV, RAC, Marks and Spencer, plus many more.

Company Giving

We are delighted that AXA-PPP Health Care's Community and Charity group, Tunbridge Wells has sponsored the Trust. They originally chose us as their charity for 2002 and we received not only financial help, but practical help in the form of marketing and fundraising as well. Since 2002 they have generously sponsored the Sleepout in 2003, 2004, and once again in 2005. This is fantastic for us as it means every penny that is raised by the ‘Sleepers’ goes towards funding our work because AXA-PPP covered the costs of organising the event.

We were also lucky to be able to organise a workshop on ‘Young People and Homelessness’ with sponsorship from Taylor Woodrow. It brought together over 20 organisations involved in housing and young people and could prove to be the catalyst to improved services for young people in the West Kent area.

Company Fundraising

Involving your staff in fund raising events is not only good fun its an excellent opportunity to encourage team building skills, allow employees to manage a project and develop skills which may not usually fall into their field, both of which increase moral and individual esteem.

Running your own event or taking part in a Bridge Trust one such as the Sleepout can also enhance your image with your staff, the local community and your clients. We have plenty of ideas such as sponsoring a manager or team to work in one of our shops for a day, so please contact the office.

Donation Days

Our charity outlets are always looking for good quality items to sell in our shops. This is a really simple way of helping the Bridge Trust. All you need to do is arrange an area at your office or work place for people to bring in donations and we will arrange collection. We will assist with any promotion, be it providing a speaker or literature about the trust and donation day and any other help or information you may need.
If you are interested in any of the above or have ideas about company giving please email us: info@thebridgetrust.org.uk, or call 01732 368363.

Pray For Us

The Bridge Trust was founded by Christians who wanted to demonstrate their love, care and compassion for those in need. Today we still work to those principles and are always in need of spritual support to underpin everything we do. Please pray for us, either within the privacy of your own prayers or openly with others. We provide our services to people of any faith or none, but the Trustees, staff and residents all need to experience the wisdom and power that only comes through the grace of God.

We produce a Prayer Letter, four times a year. If you wish to be put onto our mailing list to receive this, please contact us at the office.
